Experienced legal solutions for your family and business.
I am Lucinda Glen and I formed Glen Law in 2014 to serve small businesses and families in south central Nebraska. I want to answer your legal questions and help your business and family resolve legal issues, including your questions about business and real estate transactions, estate planning and probate, and family law. Helping people is my passion.
I received my bachelor of arts in political science and English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and my Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law. Prior to forming Glen Law, I was Legal Counsel to the Financial Institutions Division of the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance for nine years. In 1997, my husband and I moved our family to Hastings where I joined Whelan and Scherr. I later became a firm owner and the firm became Whelan, Scherr, Glen & Mead, PC, LLO. For thirteen years I taught at Hastings College as an adjunct law professor and prior to attending law school, I taught middle and high school English, speech, and theater.
I am a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association (NSBA), serving as the chair of the Government Practice Section for several years and on the legislation committee. I have served on the Executive Committee of the Family Law section and I am a fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation. I have been an instructor for American Institute of Banking law courses and for the Schools of Banking and have been a presenter and panelist for seminars hosted by the Nebraska State Bar Association.
My husband Roger and I have three children and we live in Hastings. Serving the community is important to me, and as such, I have served on the board of directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Hastings, including serving as president; the board of directors of The Bridge, Inc.; and as chair of the Adams County Mental Health Board. Currently I am on the boards of the Hastings Library Foundation and Head Start Child and Family Development, Inc. I serve the State of Nebraska as a member of the State Personnel Board. I enjoy playing golf, albeit badly, and have appearend in many Hastings Community Theater productions.
